Instructions for videoconference

In order to enter the conference use one of the following numbers/addresses:

NOTES

(1) PIN code
If given, in order to connect to your conference you shall insert this code when prompted. Many terminals (including telephones) require you to dial also the # key after the PIN code in order to confirm it.
(2) H.323 (IP) conference dialin using GDS
Participants being part of the Global Dialing Scheme (GDS) use this number to dial directly into the conference.
(3) H.323 (IP) conference dialin NOT using GDS
Participants not being part of the Global Dialing Scheme (GDS) use this number to dial into the MCU (130.186.8.16 or mcu01.garr.it). Once you are connected to the MCU and the menu with the available rooms is visible:
  • if your videoconferencing system features a camera remote control, by using the UP and DOWN buttons of your remote control you can select the virtual room 06 from the visible list. With the RIGHT button on your remote control you can select and enter it.
  • if your videoconferencing system does NOT feature a camera remote control, you can select the virtual room by using the DTMF: generally, you need to digit on you remote control #06##, or just 06#.
(4) SIP (IP) conference dialin using ENUM
Participants whose terminals are connected to ENUM use this number to dial directly into the conference.
(5) SIP (IP) conference dialin NOT using ENUM
Participants whose terminals are not connected to ENUM use this address to dial directly into the conference.
(6) PSTN (telephone) conference dialin
Participants accessing the conference via a traditional telephone (audio only mode) use this number to dial directly into the conference. The number of PSTN access lines is limited.

(*) The ENUM access and the traditional telephony (PSTN) services are experimental and they come in a "best effort" way. The access via legacy telephony (PSTN) has a VERY limited number of ports available; as such it shall be used only if none of the other provided access methods is available.
