7.3 Pulsar

The radio pulses observed from pulsar sources meet with a delay which is also function of the frequency.

If the total delay is comparable to the pulse period the impulsive peculiarity of the signal can be cancelled. Hence the need of many narrow adjacent channels that must be revealed and summed with the right respective delay. This technique is named "coherent dedispersion".
